My prime motivation is to exercise my accumulative experience and abilities to the fullest extent. I have diversified experience having successfully held positions as National Community Coordinator, HILO HVCT Project Coordinator, Community Compact Project Coordinator, MSME Training, Business Investment and Support Manager, General Manager (CEO), Organisational Development and Public Relations Manager as well as a Secondary School Teacher with Ministry of Education for 5 years.
I am extremely knowledgeable as a Programme Manager, I have hands on experience on program and Training planning and design, implementation, monitoring, review and reporting. Currently, I am the National Community Coordinator and I was once the General Manager for newly created Trust and I was the Manager in charge of MSME Training and Business Investment, and lately I was the Project Coordinator under HILO HVCT, running a Community Led HIV Prevention Program funded by CDC/PEPFAR under the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) and I have over 10 years’ experience in HIV project planning, design and in supporting the delivery of quality projects across Zambia and over 6 years’ experience working in senior managerial role. Currently I am a member of the National SBCC Subcommittee of the MOH/NAC which reviews and develop all training materials used in Zambia by different implementing partners.
I have strong Facilitation or Training, planning, budgetary, supervising, and project implementation skills with a working knowledge and understanding of project management methodology and software. I have been travelling regularly to project sites and Provinces and District offices throughout the Country to conduct trainings, monitor and meet the project stakeholders. And I am very much familiar with the Gap Analysis process/assessment tools to develop Individual Development Plans(IDP), MER Tool for CDC/PEPFAR. Hence, I have direct and indirect project implementation experience with Prior successful experience working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people and volunteers the project was interacting with, and as OD Manager I have ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative.
As General Manager, I reported to the Board of Trustees and was able to prepare all board documentations on time. I was responsible for strategic planning, funding proposal writing, financial management and tracking the investment funds, manage financial allocations responsibly by developing responsible budgets based on the operating plan. Hence, I was responsible for the overall management of all aspects of the business, ensure the organizations legal compliance in terms of registrations, taxes and all compensations issues and to ensure crafting and implementation of effective internal controls.
I have been a team player and part of the design of various programs like the MSME Program, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion, Home Based Care and HIV/AIDs Projects, Orphans and Vulnerable Children Program, and I played a leading role in Advocacy for the vulnerable groups for persons with disabilities. As an Organisational Development Practitioner, I played a leading role in change management where programming was concerned and I was a Networking and Partnership focal person. I have been a key player in the implementation of the strategic plan of my organisation, Member of the Civil Society Consortium on Pilot Project on Climate Resilience.
I am an experienced Project Manager, Community Mobilizer, Networking focal person, a key player in the implementation of the strategic plan and programs; I do interact very well with management, the general public, the government, media and Governance structures. Considering the amount of experience, I have acquired, I can serve your organisation well in several areas.
